On August 4th, at The Old Miami in Detroit, Extra Credit presents the 3rd edition of the Sunglasses parties with Sunglasses At Day: Swimsuit Edition. The party starts at 2pm sharp and will run into the night. DJs include Frankie Bank$, Brian Gillespie, E Spleece, and yours truly K-Fresh, along with an super special out of town guest. On Friday August 17th, at Grand Central Lounge in Detroit, Remy Martin presents a free show from Slum Village. The party goes down from 9pm-11pm and is for people 21+ with ID. As a part of the 2007 Comercia Cityfest, Rensoul.com, in conjunction with Fusicology, presents Hip Hop Soul Jam as the headlining showcase on the Pure Detroit Stage on Thursday, July 5th. Hosted by Detroit emcee Finale, along with DJs K-Fresh and Sicari, the set will feature an all Detroit female emcee and vocalist lineup. Those set to perform include Angelique, Invincible, L'Renee, Miz Korona, Monica Blaire, Neco Redd, and Patrice Williams, along with a special guest appearanced from NYC's Tanya Morgan. The Cityfest (previously known as the Tastefest) goes down on July 4th through the 8th in Detroit's New Center Area on W. Grand Blvd, and the festival is free of charge.
